Artist Statement
The first thing you see when arriving on Nusa Penida island by boat is this 100+ meter mural will remind anyone visiting the island to protect and preserve what cannot defend itself. As we forget the importance of protecting nature, ecosystems, and other living things that we all depend on for survival.
Unregulated construction and coastal development everywhere are polluting our oceans and coastlines. Deforestation and the lack of trees cause our air to be unhealthy. Of course, the preservation of these ecosystems is crucial for our lives and our future generations. Therefore we must be aware and educated. Remember to "Protect what you love and protect your island.
