Story Behind This Mural

Artist Statement

We use the phrase 'Once in a Lifetime' when we're having a singular experience; a moment in time. Plastic packaging is only convenient for one moment, so I want to encourage people to stop and think of the long term effects of allowing more plastics into their lives - plastics that will eventually move into our beautiful ocean.

The Focus

Plastic pollution

Take Action

Reduce your own plastic footprint by

  • Using a reusable water bottle and avoiding drinks bottled in plastic
  • Bringing your own bag, cup, utensils, straw, etc.
  • Shopping in bulk, reducing packaging waste
  • Choosing reusable and compostable goods over less sustainable materials
