Artist Statement

Floating Cities of the Future' is a fantastical rendering of a hypothetical city designed like an open mussel with terraces rising upward and the repeated symbol of the eye symbolizing forward-thinking and innovation. This fantastical city is sustainable, self-sufficient, zero-emission, and meant to withstand rising sea levels. The robot squid to the right is also a fantastical conception of a form of transportation in this future of floating cities; a mechanical submarine designed like a cephalopod.
