Story Behind This Mural
As part of our project on the island of Cozumel, we invited the local art collective, Colectivo La Quinta, to participate in our initiative and collaborate on a centrally located wall. Over the course of the week, they crafted this beautiful artwork, blending all of their unique, creative styles.
It incorporates elements addressing a variety of issues including coral bleaching, plastic pollution, and the importance of upholding our sense of wonder for what lies beneath the waves.
Whenever we host a Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans project, we engage with the local artist community to encourage the exchange of ideas, opinions, and cultures.
