Querétaro, Mexico – April 2018
My contribution to this unique project, romantically highlights our fundamental connection to water, the main source of life, and the symbiosis that can exist between the ocean's fauna, flora, and humanity. In a contemporary interpretation of Chalchitlicue - Goddess of water, ocean, and rivers, I focused on sharing these concepts by illustrating the vision as a dance.
A 4 years process including one year of production, over three intense weeks of on-the-ground project production and for myself, five hardworking days in the intense Mexico sun. It was an honor to be part of this fantastic team, and I'm grateful to had the responsibility to paint one of the technically challenging upper sections of the dome, struggling and problem-solving together to help send a creative and crucial message from Queretaro to the world to protect water resources and oceans.
